Floating axles make it so the solid axle does not have to support the weight of the vehicle while holding the wheels on. The high yield strength of these Warn axles means you'll find the largest spline count possible. Internal spline wheel hubs eliminate bolts and are guaranteed never to loosen. These kits increase wheel-bearing strength by using double Timken bearings, which carry vehicle loads in the center. Axle shafts are left only to transfer torque, not support the weight.If flat towing, hubscan be "dialed" out to deactivate the rear drive shaft - elimination wear on the transfer case and to preventing false miles on the odometer. Increase reliability and strength by at least 50% with stronger 4340 steel axle shafts. Failures in the rear end such as ring and pinion or differential problems can now be dialed out to get you back home in front wheel drive. |

Daystar combines their fully welded round tube reinforcedshackles with their famous rifle drilled greasable shackle bolts and then tops it off with grease grooved polyurethane bushings. Super Greasable Shackles are available in lengths that are longer than stock shackles to provide extra lift. Shackles feature 3/8" thick tig welded side plates and are zinc plated yellow for good looks and durability. The urethane bushings have grease grooves to channel the lubrication to provide a smoother ride over ordinary shackles. These can be used for both front and rear on '49-'75 CJs.
