AERODUCT™ MULTI-FEED METHOD GROW CHANNELS 7'' Wide x 5'' Deep AEROPONICS / NFT / DEEP FLO HYDRO-AEROPONICS / TOP FEED PLUMBED AERODUCT CHANNELS DRIP WITH NO LID TRAY INCLUDES POLY FEED LINE AND DRIP EMITTERS Lids are available with no holes for custom drilling, or with 4'' holes on 8'' centers, or 5'' holes on 12'' centers. Nutrient Feed Technique, Aeroponics, Deepflo, Top Feed Drip The AERODUCT™ is a custom extruded multi-feed method grow channel. What separates the AERODUCT™ from other grow channels on the market is our proprietary reversible tray lid with end caps and joiners. The AERODUCT™ is available with or without the lid. For NFT applications, the channel lid will sit lower in the tray so the net pot will sit flush on the bottom of the AERODUCT™ channel. A shallow stream of nutrient solution runs along the bottom of the tray nourishing and hydrating the root systems. The lower roots are feeding while the upper roots take in oxygen. The root system eventually will form one continuous large mat along the bottom of the channel. End caps, end caps with spouts, and joiners are available to make the AERODUCT™ channel the most flexible multi-task grow channel available. Aeroponics The AERODUCT™ can also be used in aeroponic applications. Just reverse the lid opposite from the NFT applications allowing the net pots to sit higher in the channel. The lid snaps into the inside of the tray for a no leak fit. Deep Flo Hydro-Aeroponics The deep flo hydro-aeroponics feed method can also be utilized with the flexible AERODUCT™ grow channel. Instead of using end caps with drain spouts, they are equipped with an end cap at each end of the channel and utilize our exclusive adjustable height drain fitting. Choose the depth of the nutrient solution and have the flexibility to adjust it to any desired level. With deep flo hydro-aeroponics, the nutrient solution is 2–3 inches in depth and the solution is highly aerated with dissolved oxygen. Top Feed Drip This is for growers who choose to grow with a soilless grow substrate but still want to retain the modular features an extruded channel has to offer over conventional grow trays. American Agritech has designed these clone machines to be low budget and practical. Each machine contains a true aeroponic mist application to ensure the best rooting and aeration to achieve optimum results. Simply dip the cutting in your choice of cloning hormone, place cutting in the neoprene collar and place in the two-inch pot American Agritech also suggests using a cloning solution and fungicide in the Clone Machine Reservoir. Operate the machine for 24 hour periods until roots appear (3 to 10 days). Transplant into any desired grow substrate. Clone Machines work best with 16-24 hours of Fluorescent lighting at eight-inch to twelve-inches. Misting leaves once or twice daily is also helpful or use an optional Humidome available with the 74 and 154 plant cloners. Clone machine must be sterilized with disinfectant between crops. An essential part of French cooking, Tarragon is part of the fines herbes mix (along with chives, parsley, and chervil). The leaves of this herb are used in classic French sauces, egg dishes, flavored butters, creamed cheeses, soups and poultry dishes. A popularuse is in Tarragon Vinegar, made by adding a sprig of Tarragon to a sterile bottle and covering with boiling white wine vinegar. The delicate aniseed-flavor of tarragon highlights classic beranaise sauce and provides the key flavoring for salad dressings and egg dishes. Long cooking decreases the strength of tarragon's flavor. It is typically added to dishes near the end of cooking or raw. Carrots with Tarragon: Peel and slice carrots ¼ inch thick and boil about 8 small carrots in salted water until soft, about 10 minutes. Drain. Melt a half a stick of butter. Add in a teaspoon or a bit more of dried tarragon (three teaspoons fresh) and a pinch of Kosher salt. Add a splash of Balsamic vinegar and ½ teaspoon honey (you can also use brown sugar, but use 1 teaspoon and melt it into the butter. Toss carrots in flavored butter and serve. Serves 4 Alaskan Scallops Tarragon: http://www.fishermansexpress.com/tarragon.html: 1 lb Alaskan Scallops 2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine ¼ cup sliced Green Onion ¼ tsp dried Tarragon, crushed 1 Tbsp dry White Wine hot cooked Rice Thaw the Scallops. Make sure to cut large Scallops in half. Rinse and pat dry with paper towels. In a skillet heat butter or margarine over medium-high heat. Add the green onion and cook and stir for 1 minute. Then push the onion to one side. Add Scallops and tarragon. Cook onion and scallops for 5 to 6 minutes or until scallops are opaque and most of the liquid has evaporated, stirring frequently. Stir in dry white wine. Serve with hot cooked rice. 2 servings. Combine 1½ cups flour with the remaining dry ingredients. Add the oil, egg and warm water and beat on low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Beat on high 3 minutes. Stir in remaining 1 cup of flour. Cover and let rise 15 minutes. Spray muffin tins with nonstick spray and spoon in the batter, filling ½ full. Let rise in a warm place until double, about 15 to 30 minutes. Bake rolls for 10 to 12 minutes, until puffed and lightly browned on top. Remove from muffin tins and serve. Makes 8 to 12 rolls. Goldenseal is a broad spectrum antibiotic and fungicide, effective against a wide range of topical and internal infections of the respiratory, digestive, and urinary tracts. Its use by Native America was widespread. It was used topically for skin and eye infections, as a mouthwash for canker sores, and as a tea for diarrhea, upper respiratory and vaginal infections. It was also used as a yellow dye for skins and fabrics. The two primary alkaloids in goldenseal are hydrastine and berberine, along with smaller amounts of canadine. They have demonstrated antimicrobial effects against a wide range of bacteria, protozoa, and fungi, including Chlamydia species, E. coli, Salmonella typhi, Candida albicans and Entamoeba histolytica. Herbalists often recommend Goldenseal topically for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic actions, which make it useful to clean wounds, reduce hemorrhoids, soothe canker sores, and alleviate skin infections (including ringworm and athlete's foot). It can also help treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis. The tea is recommended for colds. Grieve's classic 'A Modern Herbal': 'The American aborigines valued the root highly as a tonic, stomachic and application for sore eyes and general ulceration, as well as a yellow dye for their clothing and weapons.' 'It is official in most Pharmacopoeias, several of which refer to its yellowing the saliva when masticated.' 'The action is tonic, laxative, alterative and detergent. It is a valuable remedy in thedisordered conditions of the digestion and has a special action on the mucous membrane, making it of value as a local remedy in various forms of catarrh. In chronic inflammation of the colon and rectum, injections of Hydrastine are often of great service, and it has been used in haemorrhoids with excellent results, the alkaloid Hydrastine having an astringent action. The powder has proved useful as a snuff for nasal catarrh.' 'It is employed in dyspepsia, gastric catarrh, loss of appetite and liver troubles. As a tonic, it is of extreme value in cases of habitual constipation, given as a powder, combined with any aromatic. It is an efficient remedy for sickness and vomiting.'
