The Pink Oyster is an extremely fast growing mushroom that fruits easily on a wide range of ligneous substrates. The mushrooms grow in clusters of thin fleshed pink caps. The flavor improves dramatically with thorough cooking. Mushrooms tendto be sour when raw or undercooked. The Pink Oyster is more productive than the Golden Oyster with yields similar to the more common market oyster strains. These mushrooms also need plenty of fresh air to develop normally. High carbon dioxide levels from mushroom metabolism will accumulate in sealed growing environments and may reduce cap size severely. Growth starts off as a fast growing white mycelium that ages to a pink color. Primordia and young mushrooms are bright pink but become less intensely colored as the mushroom matures. To use, unfold the Bag, allowing the extra bag material to stand straight up. Locate the small foam disk sealed and attached in a plastic housing near the base of the Bag. This disc is the self-healing injector site. Note: The disc will be covered by a small plastic shield. Do not attempt to remove the plastic covering the disc, you will inject through it. Sterilize a small section of the outside of the Bag (on the plastic shield) directly over the foam disc with an alcohol soaked wipe. With the same alcohol soaked wipe, sterilize the needle on your culture syringe. Inoculate the substrate with culture syringe(included) solution by inserting the needle through the plastic shield and foam disc at the previously sterilized spot and squirting 1cc of culture solution into the mixture. Sulfites are used to give herbs the appearance of freshness. As with dried fruit. un-sulfured herbs look different than those that are adulterated with preservatives. Our lemon oil is cold-pressed, a much better oil than distilled. Three dozen lemons are used to produce each ½ ounce. The scent is evocative of the fresh ripe peel. Lemon oil in the bath or in massage oils should be well diluted as it can cause skin irritation. Caution: avoid using theoil in body care products when going out into the sun as it can cause redness and burning of the skin. Aromatherapy benefits: uplifting, refreshing, cheering. Essential, absolute and resin oils are volatile, fragrant materials extracted from the root, bark, wood, seed, fruit, leaf or flower of a single plant. The plants used to produce these oils are grown on certified organic fields and are third-party certified by Quality Assurance International; no synthetic chemicals are used in growing or processing them. Steam distillation and cold pressing are used to extract the essential oil from the plant. Essential oils and absolutes are very potent and should always be used sparingly and in conjunction with a reliable reference.
