Sclerotia Formulated Mushroom Bag is a completely self contained environment for the incubation and production of sclerotia. This latest bag formula has been developed for more substantial sclerotia yields, However the Sclerotia Formula Mushroom Bag is not designed to support the formation of fruitbodies within the bag environment. For bag formulas deisgned for the fruiting of mushrooms in-vitro, see our other Mushroom Bag related items. The bag is shipped with all air removed for easy packing. The spore syringe or culture is NOT included with the bag and must be purchased separately. To use, simply unfold the Bag, allowing the extra material to stand straight up. Flattening of substrate material prior to culture injection may increase harvests. Locate the small foam disk sealed and attached in a plastic housing near the base of the Bag. This disc is the self-healing injector site. Note: The disc will be covered by a small plastic shield. Do not attempt to remove the plastic covering the disc, you will inject through it. Sterilize a small section of the outside of the Bag (on the plastic shield) directly over the foam disc with an alcohol soaked wipe. With the same alcohol soaked wipe, sterilize the needle on your culture syringe. Inoculate the substrate (material inside the bag) with culture syringe solution by inserting the needle through the plastic shield and foam disc at the previously sterilized spot. Squirt 1cc of culture solution directly into the substrate material. DO NOT insert the needle through the white filter patch found near the top of the Bag. Place the Bag(s) in a dark location and incubate at species specific parameters. It is recommend to store the Bag fully extended as developing Mycelia will give off gases that will slowly expand the interior of the Bag. This ballooning effect is crucial for proper air exchange and culture development. Note: During drier summer months it is advisable to store the Bag in a humid location. Excessively dry environments may draw moisture from the Bag. Because colonization will begin in the interior of the substrate material it may take between 14-20 days for you to notice the spreading of colonizing mycelium towards the outside of the Bag. Speed of colonization is directly affected by incubation temperatures, please check to make sure you are incubating the bag at the correct temperature for the speciesyou are attempting to cultivate. Typical colonization time is between 21-30 days for most species and strains when incubated properly. Incubation of sclerotia should take place in the dark. Total incubation time will depend on the desired harvests, but most sclerotia producing species reach their peak harvesting potential within 4-8 months of culture injection.. Stable incubation temperatures during the entire duration of sclerotia formation will help ensure more uniform and fully developed sclerotia. Most of the wet substrate material in the bag will be converted to sclerotia |

Pumice is a low-cost natural substrate tha can be combined with sand, rice skulls, perlite, peat and nutrients. Pumice stone is meant to create a place for bacteria to grow and assist in the cycling of nutrients. Therefore, it should be used in the lower third of the substrate andnot as the only substrate. |

CLEAREX™ Salt Leaching Solution: For periodic flushing of nutrient salt build-up and lockout. Rejuvenates plants and allows nutrients to become readily available again. For use in containerized soil or soilless hydrogardening applications. CLEAREX™ is an isotonic drenching solution that unlocks the ionic bond between the nutrient and the soil or soilless grow substrate, correcting the problem of nutrient salt toxicity and lockout, allowing plants to excel again. Expect to see a burst of new growth. CLEAREX™ is also used at the end of a crops cycle to trigger the last reproductive stage of the plant, forcing the plant to process and assimilate endogenous nutrients. CLEAREX™ contains specific electrolytes and selected mono and disaccharides, fructose and sucrose that give high energy and amplifies metabolic compounds to the plant. Pre harvest treatments can allow for enhanced flavor and increased yields in fruits, vegetables and culinary herbs by flushing out excess chemical nutrients. CLEAREX™ Salt Leaching Directions: Before applying CLEAREX™, Foliar Spray plants with pure water. Use CLEAREX™ in the early morning or evenings. Soil Containers and Gardens Use 1/2 to one ounce (15–30 ml) of CLEAREX™ per gallon of water. Pour one to two quarts over plants every seven to twenty-one days. For container gardens, achieve a minimum 80–90% run-off. Water and fertilize as usual. Hydroponic Systems Use CLEAREX™ with every one to two reservoir changes. Use 1/2 to one ounce (15-30 ml) of CLEAREX™ per gallon of water. Pour one to two quarts of solution per plant site with minimum 80–90% run-off. Dump waste run-off and fertigate as usual. or Add CLEAREX™ to pure water in reservoir without nutrients. Run system. Use 1/2 to one ounce (15–30 ml) of CLEAREX™ per gallon of water. Check EC or PPM in reservoir. Run system for 15–60 minutes or until EC or PPM stops rising. Dump reservoir. Add desired nutrient dosage and water, then adjust pH. Fertigate as usual. Pre-Harvest Treatment (Soil or Soilless) Discontinue fertilizer regime 2–3 days before harvest. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) of CLEAREX™ per gallon of water. Water as needed.
