At the onset of indigestion traditional Ayurvedic practice is to drink a strong neem tea. Neem tea is also considered a calmative and immune strengthener. Traditionally known as the 'village pharmacy', the Neem tree's pesticidal and medicinal properties have been known and used for centuries in India. The bark of the neem tree is used for cosmetics, health care products and medicinal preparations. The leaves are medicinal. The kernel of the neem fruit is crushed to yield an oil which is used chiefly in pest controlling preparations and also in medicinal, cosmetic and health care products. Neem tea can be made from the herb powder using the traditional infusion method. Put the brew into a tall glass jar or bottle and let it stand in the refrigerator until the sediment settles to the bottom. Then draw off or siphon the liquid on top into a jug or storage bottle. Allowing the sediment to sit in the brew overnight in the fridge stengthens the brew. Though not a panacea, the tropical evergreen can be a major factor in preventing and treating many problems, some of which have been successfully treated with neem for centuries. Prescription medicines made from neem extracts, approved by the Indian equivalent of the FDA, are used to treat a number of these conditions. Neem boosts the immune system on all levels while helping the body fight infection even before the immune system is called to action. It also stimulates the production of T-cells to mount a head-onattack against infections. Unlike synthetic antibiotics, Neem does not destroy beneficial bacteria and other microorganisms needed to maintain optimum health. This is a remarkable herb well worth investigating in depth. Unlike much oif the rest of the plant, Neem oil is for external use only. Neem oil’s highly concentrated anti-microbial active ingredients can be used directly on cuts, scrapes or serious skin conditions. The concentrated essential fatty acids help to restore moisture and elasticity to the skin while it disinfects and heals. |

This is Plum Flower brand's nitrogen-flushed vacuum pack. Plum Flower is one of the most distinguished herb houses in the world. Sulfur Free, Chlorine Free, Aluminum Phosphate Free. Sulfites are used to give herbs the appearance of freshness. As with dried fruit. un-sulfured herbs look different than those that are adulterated with preservatives. Herbs that are preservative free are more natural looking and are generally darker. The brightness of the herbs may be appealing, but it indicates the presence of harmful additives. Despite their appearance, unsulfured herbs are more fresh and safer than regular commercially available products. The use of sulfur, chlorine and aluminum phosphate was made unnecessary through the establishment of Plum Flower processing stations in China. Herb harvesters slice and process the herbs fresh, avoiding the need to rehydrate dried herbs later to process. The nitrogen process combined with the lack of sulfur treatment inhibits the growth of anaerobic organisms, resulting in safer, higher quality herbs. After opening, store in a cool dry place. The facilitiesin Lanzhou and Guang Zhou, China, scientifically test each batch of herbs before, during and after the processing to make sure that all the active ingredients are present. Herbs are also tested to ensure that the formulas surpass all FDA guidelines regarding heavy metals. Those herbs exported to the U.S. are voluntarily submitted to the FDA for approval. Finally, batches are regularly sent out for quality control testing in third-party labs to double-ensure that Plum Flower products are 100% free of pharmaceuticals, preservatives and dyes. The above photo shows a culture syringe inoculation of Mushroom Bag Primary Spawn Rye Formula, and the bag being colonized by Golden Oyster, Pleurotus citrinopileatus mycelium, primary spawn, or primary filamentous growth, of the mushroom. The Mushroom Bag Primary Spawn Rye Formula contains just over 1 pound of pre-cooked and pre-sterilized rye grain that can be used for primary spawn generation with culture syringe injection through the self-healing injection site. The Mushroom Bag Primary Spawn Rye Formula bag is specifically designed for primary spawn generation. If you are seeking a Pre-sterilized Bag product for contained incubation and fruiting of mushrooms, please see our other Mushroom Bags. The spore syringe or culture is NOT included with the bag and must be purchased separately. To use, simply unfold the Bag, allowing the extra material to stand straight up. Locate the small foam disk sealed and attached in a plastic housing near the base of the Bag. This disc is the self-healing injector site. Note: The disc will be covered by a small plastic shield. Do not attempt to remove the plastic covering the disc, you will inject through it. Sterilize a small section of the outside of the Bag (on the plastic shield) directly over the foam disc with an alcohol soaked wipe. With the same alcohol soaked wipe, sterilize the needle on your culture syringe. Inoculate the pre-sterilized rye berries with culture syringe solution by inserting the needle through the plastic shield and foam disc at the previously sterilized spot. Squirt 1cc of culture solution directly into the substrate material. DO NOT insert the needle through the white filter patch found near the top of the Bag. Return the inoculated bags back to the shipping box and place in a dark, warm location (species specific). Allow thebag to remain extended so gaseous exchange through the filter patch is not blocked. Because colonization will begin in the interior of the substrate material it may take between 14-20 days for you to notice the spreading of colonizing mycelium towards the outside of the Bag. Speed of colonization is directly affected by incubation temperatures, please check to make sure you are incubating the bag at the correct temperature for the species you are attempting to cultivate. Typical colonization time is between 21-30 days for most species and strains when incubated properly. Once fully colonized the rye berry spawn may be used to inoculate other bulk mediums such as pasteurized straw, sawdust, hardwood blocks, etc. |
