Vinyl Tubing 1'' Clear, 10 ft: A

Black hides well in garden ponds, etc. Opaque tubing may be purchased by the roll or by the foot. Working pressures same as Clear. Our tubing is UV stabilized for long life when exposed to sunlight. Black tubing is recommended for use in water gardening because it practically disappears underwater, and since sunlight does not penetrate it, algae growth inside the tubing is inhibited. Perfect for hydroponic and irrigation applications as well. All tubing will withstand a maximum pressure of 28 psi at 73 degrees Farenheit. Used as a complete circuit by itself or as a feeder line fro main lines. |
This is Frontier's nitrogen-flushed double wall silverfoil pack. Some Frontier packs are double wall wax-lined paper. An essential ingredient in many mixed spices, chutneys, and chili and curry powders, cumin seeds are especially popular in Asian, North African, and Latin American cuisines. Their distinctive aroma is heavy and strong; their taste warm and reminiscent of caraway. B & W Courtyards Bed and Breakfast, New Orleans, Louisiana Specialty Recipe Oysters Sauteed in Cumin: Although it is simple to prepare, the combination of wine, cumin, and a touch of soy sauce results in a complex flavor. Serve this a la minute dish from its pan or skillet and accompany with French bread to catch the pan juices. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. To serve, heat through. Cumin, or comino, seeds are actually dried fruits. The seeds contain between 2.5 and 4.5 percent essential oil, the principal component of which is cumaldehyde. The oil is used in perfumery, for flavouring a variety of liquors, and for medicinal purposes. At one time cumin seeds were widely used for their comforting carminative qualities. Grieve's classic 'A Modern Herbal': 'Cumin is mentioned in Isaiah xxvii. 25 and 27, and Matthew xxiii. 23, and in the works of Hippocrates and Dioscorides. From Pliny we learn that the ancients took the ground seed medicinally with bread, water or wine, and that it was accounted the best of condiments.' 'In the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, when it was much in use as a culinary spice, its average price in England per lb. was 2d., equivalent to 1s. 4d. at the present day.'' Nettle Leaf Extract (Urtica dioica) 1 fl oz: K
Alcohol Free Fluid Extract Promotes Urinary Tract Functions Fluid extracts are a highly effective way to administer herbs. They are very concentrated, they work faster than teas and are four to eight times stronger than capsules. Extracts are easily digestible and quickly assimilated into the system. From ancient Greece to the present, nettle has been documented for its use in treating coughs, tuberculosis, asthma, arthritis, intestinal complaints and skin problems. Currently it is thought that polysaccharides (complex sugars) and lectins (large protein-sugar molecules) are probably the active constituents. The leaf has been shown to be anti-inflammatory by preventing the body from making inflammatory chemicals known as prostaglandins. Nettle’s root affects hormones and proteins that carry sex hormones (such as testosterone or estrogen) in the human body; this may explain why it helps benign prostatic hyperplasia. This has been confirmed using extracts of the roots in double blind studies. A preliminary study reported that capsules made from nettle leaves had an antiallergy action in people. Grieve's classic 'A Modern Herbal': 'Nettle is anti-asthmatic: the juice of the roots or leaves, mixed with honey or sugar, will relieve bronchial and asthmatic troubles and the dried leaves, burnt and inhaled, will have the same effect.' 'The seeds have also been used in consumption, the infusion of herb or seeds being taken in wineglassful doses. The seeds and flowers used to be given in wine as a remedy for ague. The powdered seeds have been considered a cure for goitre and efficacious in reducing excessive corpulency. Nettle is one of the best antiscorbutics. An infusion known as Nettle Tea is a common spring medicine in rural districts, and has long been used as a blood purifier.' King's 1898 Dispensatory: 'Common nettle is astringent, tonic, and diuretic. A decoction is valuable in diarrhoea and dysentery, with profuse discharges, and in hemorrhoids, various hemorrhages, and scorbutic affections, and has been recommended in febrile affections, gravel, and other nephritic complaints.' 'A strong syrup made of the root, combined with suitable quantities of wild-cherry bark and blackberry root, forms an excellent remedy for all summer complaints of children, and bowel affections of adults. In cholera infantum and other summer disorders of children, with profuse watery or mucous discharges, the following treatment gives excellent results: Rx Specific urtica, ss; water, iii. Mix. Dose, a teaspoonful, every 1 or 2 hours. It is especially applicable in chronic diseases of the colon, with increased secretion of mucus.' American Materia Medica, 1919 (Ellingwood): 'Urtica has been employed for the general purposes of an astringent, both internally and externally, in hemorrhages, ill-conditioned ulcers, and in chronic disease of the mucous membranes of the bronchi, bowels and urinary organs, and itis generally agreed to be an efficient remedy. It,
