This is Plum Flower brand's nitrogen-flushed vacuum pack. Plum Flower is one of the most distinguished herb houses in the world. Sulfur Free, Chlorine Free, Aluminum Phosphate Free. Sulfites are used to give herbs the appearance of freshness. As with dried fruit. un-sulfured herbs look different than those that are adulterated with preservatives. Herbs that are preservative free are more natural looking and are generally darker. The brightness of the herbs may be appealing, but it indicates the presence of harmful additives. Despite their appearance, unsulfured herbs are more fresh and safer than regular commercially available products. The use of sulfur, chlorine and aluminum phosphate was made unnecessary through the establishment of Plum Flower processing stations in China. Herb harvesters slice and process the herbs fresh, avoiding the need to rehydrate dried herbs later to process. This first step is crucial, as rehydration leads to decomposition and thus the need for preservatives. The herbs are then packed and the packages vacuum-packed, injected with nitrogen, and sealed. The nitrogen process combined with the lack of sulfur treatment inhibits the growth of anaerobic organisms, resulting in safer, higher quality herbs. After opening, store in a cool dry place. The facilities in Lanzhou and Guang Zhou, China, scientifically test each batch of herbs before, during and after the processing to make sure that all the active ingredients are present. Herbs are also tested to ensure that the formulas surpass all FDA guidelines regarding heavy metals. Those herbs exported to the U.S. are voluntarily submitted to the FDA for approval. Finally, batches are regularly sent out for quality control testing in third-party labs to double-ensure that Plum Flower products are 100% free of pharmaceuticals, preservatives and dyes. The Lanzhou and Guang Zhou factories are so clean, they are certified by the Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (GMP). Cone candling of one form or another, has been performed since ancient times ranging from Tibet, Egypt, and all the way to North and South America. Ear cone candling is based on Burnelli's Law of Airflow, which states that when a hollow cylinder (cone candle) is heated, air will be drawn into the cylinder at an increased rate and forced out of the cylinder with greater force. Thus, any loose material within the cylinder would be forced toward the exit point of the cylinder. Ear cone candling creates a gentle vacuum, painlessly pulling debris from the ear. What to look for in a cone There are hundreds of cone candles to choose from, make in a variety of materials, shapes, and sizes. So how do you choose a quality ear cone? First, look to see if the cone candle is cylindrical. If a cone candles is very large at one end and very small at the other end, it reduces effectiveness. most reputable companies use a cone with a 7/8' end tapering down to 3/8'. Second, look for a cone candle that's labeled with clear instructions for how to use it. According to cone candle manufacturers, the art of candling has been used safely for thousands of years; even so, it's very important to read and follow directions carefully. Instructions for Use Have all your items close to the person. Find a comfortable place for the person beingcandled to lie down, making sure all items are easily accessible. Have the person lie on one side with ear opening level. Place the ear cover cloth, or protector, over the area being candled and cover hair and skin as completely as possible. Insert the small end of the candle snugly into the ear, so no vacuum will escape. You must create a seal. Once this has been done, the assistant can light the candle. Raspberries grow wild in the cooler regions of the northern hemisphere and in some parts of the southern hemisphere as well. The ancient Greeks were the first to cultivate raspberries. They called the fruit ''idaeus'' because it grew wild and abundantly on the slopes of Mount Ida, as it still does today. Thus it is fitting that ''Rubus idaeus'' is the botanical name of the primary species for both the wild and cultivated raspberry. The genus also includes the blackberry, which is very similar to the raspberry. Both berries come in a variety of colors from white through yellow, orange, pink, purple, red and black. Thus color is not the distinguishing feature, rather the size of the fruit is. The blackberry fruit is larger than the fruit of the raspberry. The color of the raspberry is determined not only by its species,but also by climate. Raspberries from Northern India and the Himalayas are black, while yellow and white raspberries grow in Europe and parts of Asia. The wild red raspberry which grows in the United States is sweeter than other species.
