This award-winning combination of Chinese Red Ginseng Extract (Renshen) and Royal Jelly (Wangjiang) contains no alcohol or additive. Many people take this instead of their coffee in the morning or afternoon. Chinese Ren Shen, 'root of heaven,' Panax ginseng, Asian ginseng, is native to Manchuria and Korea and is cultivated in China, Korea and Japan. The ginseng plant requires 5-7 years to mature from seed. Ginseng has a sweetly aromatic flavour. Its root has long been regarded by the Chinese as a panacea for illness, though it was usually used by them in a prophylactic (preventive) rather than a curative manner. Royal jelly is made by bees to feed the queen bee. Some larvae are given royal jelly, but only the queen receives it once maturity has been reached. Queen bees, are, in effect, super bees, and they may indeed be what they eat. The queen goes on to lay millions of eggs and lives up to 40 times longer. Royal Jelly is a very complex natural source of nutrition for promoting energy and health. It is a very rich source of essential as well as non-essential amino acids, vitamin A, C, D, E, as well as B-complex, trace minerals as well as calcium, copper, iron, potassium, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur, essential fatty acids, sugars, sterols, and acetylcholine, a neuronal transmitter. This is Plum Flower brand's nitrogen-flushed vacuum pack. Plum Flower is one of the most distinguished herb houses in the world. Sulfur Free, Chlorine Free, Aluminum Phosphate Free. Sulfites are used to give herbs the appearance of freshness. As with dried fruit. un-sulfured herbs look different than those that are adulterated with preservatives. Herbs that are preservative free are more natural looking and are generally darker. The brightness of the herbs may be appealing, but it indicates the presence of harmful additives. Despite their appearance, unsulfured herbs are more fresh and safer than regular commercially available products. The use of sulfur, chlorine and aluminum phosphate was made unnecessary through the establishment of Plum Flower processing stations in China. Herb harvesters slice and process the herbs fresh, avoiding the need to rehydrate dried herbs later to process. This first step is crucial, as rehydration leads to decomposition and thus the need for preservatives. The herbs are then packed and the packages vacuum-packed, injected with nitrogen, and sealed. The nitrogen process combined with the lack of sulfur treatment inhibits the growth of anaerobic organisms, resulting in safer, higher quality herbs. After opening, store in a cool dry place. The facilities in Lanzhou and Guang Zhou, China, scientifically test each batch of herbs before,during and after the processing to make sure that all the active ingredients are present. Herbs are also tested to ensure that the formulas surpass all FDA guidelines regarding heavy metals. Those herbs exported to the U.S. are voluntarily submitted to the FDA for approval. Finally, batches are regularly sent out for quality control testing in third-party labs to double-ensure that Plum Flower products are 100% free of pharmaceuticals, preservatives and dyes. The Lanzhou and Guang Zhou factories are so clean, they are certified by the Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (GMP). The 1997 Commission E on Phytotherapy and Herbal Substances of the German Federal Institute for Drugs recommends Motherwort herb for 'Nervous cardiac disorders and as adjuvant for thyroid hyperfunction.' 'Average daily dosage: 4.5 g herb; equivalent preparations. Mode of Administration: Comminuted herb for infusions and other galenical preparations for internal use.' Some recent Chinese research, supportive of the empirical tradition, indicates that Motherwort alkaloids can calm the central nervous system and stimulate the uterus to contract after delivery, thus helping to prevent infection. Grieve's classic 'A Modern Herbal': 'Diaphoretic, antispasmodic, tonic, nervine, emmenagogue. Motherwort is especially valuable in female weakness and disorders (hence the name), allaying nervous irritability and inducing quiet and passivity of the whole nervous system.' 'As a tonic, it acts without producing febrile excitement, and in fevers, attended with nervousness and delirium, it is extremely useful.' 'Old writers tell us that there is no better herb for strengthening and gladdening the heart, and that it is good against hysterical complaints, and especially for palpitations of the heart when they arise from hysteric causes, and that when made into a syrup, it will allay inward tremors, faintings, etc. There is no doubt it has proved the truth of their claims in its use as a simple tonic, not only in heart disease, neuralgia and other affections of the heart, but also in spinal disease and in recovery from fevers where other tonics are inadmissable.' 'The best way of giving it is in the form of a conserve, made from the young tops, says one writer. It may be given in decoctions, or a strong infusion, but is very unpleasant to take that way. The infusion is made from 1 oz. of herb to a pint of boiling water, taken in wineglassful doses.' 'Preparations and Dosages: Powdered herb, ½ to 1 drachm. Fluid extract, ½ to 1 drachm. Solid extract, 5 to 15 grains.' King's 1898 Dispensatory: 'Motherwort is emmenagogue, nervine, antispasmodic, and laxative. It is usually given in warm infusion in amenorrhoea from colds; and in suppressed lochia we have found it superior to any other remedy. Also useful in hysteria and chorea (King).'
