About Naturlite Vegewax Aromatherapy Candles Made With Vegewax Not unhealthful Paraffin (a petroleum byproduct) Naturlite candles are made with Vegewax, a patent pending wax that is made from 100% plant fats. Virtually No Black Soot Naturlite candles are clean burning, ie, they do not emit black soot. The only time Naturlite candles may emit black soot is if the wick is too long. Our wicks are self regulation and seldom get too long. Even when there is a small draft, Naturlite candles do not emit black soot. Create a draft near both a paraffin candle and a Naturlite candle and you will see the black soot being emitted by the paraffin candle but not by the Naturlite candle. Only 100% Pure Essential Oils Naturlite candles are madewith 100% pure essential oils; artificial fragrances are never used. Artificial fragrances emit PAH (polyaromatic hydrocarbons), which can cause severe allergic reactions in poeple that suffer from asthma or allergies. Children are especially vulnerable to PAH.
