This is a high-quality dry nutrient designed for hydroponics, but also suitable for soil. Itcontains all of the trace minerals required by plants, as well the N-P-K. Dissolves completely even in cold water. Just add 1 teaspoon per gallon of water for mature plants, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon for younger plants. This is Plum Flower brand's nitrogen-flushed vacuum pack. Plum Flower is one of the most distinguished herb houses in the world. Sulfur Free, Chlorine Free, Aluminum Phosphate Free. Sulfites are used to give herbs the appearance of freshness. As with dried fruit. un-sulfured herbs look different than those that are adulterated with preservatives. Herbs that are preservative free are more natural looking and are generally darker. The brightness of the herbs may be appealing, but it indicates the presence of harmful additives. Despite their appearance, unsulfured herbs are more fresh and safer than regular commercially available products. The use of sulfur, chlorine and aluminum phosphate was made unnecessary through the establishment of Plum Flower processing stations in China. Herb harvesters slice and process the herbs fresh, avoiding the need to rehydrate dried herbs later to process. This first step is crucial, as rehydration leads to decomposition and thus the need for preservatives. The herbs are then packed and the packages vacuum-packed, injected with nitrogen, and sealed. The nitrogen process combined with the lack of sulfur treatment inhibits the growth of anaerobic organisms, resulting in safer, higher quality herbs. After opening, store in a cool dry place. The facilities in Lanzhou and Guang Zhou, China, scientifically test each batch of herbs before, during and after the processing to make sure that all the active ingredients are present. Herbs are also tested to ensure that the formulas surpass all FDA guidelines regarding heavy metals. Those herbs exported to the U.S. are voluntarily submitted to the FDA for approval. Finally, batches are regularly sent out for quality control testing in third-party labs to double-ensure that Plum Flower products are 100% free ofpharmaceuticals, preservatives and dyes. The Lanzhou and Guang Zhou factories are so clean, they are certified by the Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (GMP). These standards surpass any of the FDA, and are considered the highest for any government agency in the world. Varuna Fulfillment Center items are special ordered. Colonization/Fruiting Temperatures 75-85F/65-75F Everything you need to start exploring the wonders of edible mushroom cultivation! These kits include the Oyster Mushroom Culture and a number of our pre-sterilized Straw Based Mushroom Bags. The Small kit includes one Bag and 3cc culture syringe. The Medium kit includes four Bags and a 10cc culture syringe. The Pink Oyster is an extremely fast growing mushroom that fruits easily on a wide range of ligneous substrates. The mushrooms grow in clusters of thin fleshed pink caps. The flavor improves dramatically with thorough cooking. Mushrooms tend to be sour when raw or undercooked. The Pink Oyster is more productive than the Golden Oyster with yields similar to the more common market oyster strains. These mushrooms also need plenty of fresh air to develop normally. High carbon dioxide levels from mushroom metabolism will accumulate in sealed growing environments and may reduce cap size severely. Growth starts off as a fast growing white mycelium that ages to a pink color. Primordia and young mushrooms are bright pink but become less intensely colored as the mushroom matures. The color disappears entirely after cooking. Each Oyster Mushroom Kit includes a number of pre-sterilized substrate Bags specially designed for straw and grass loving mushrooms. Also included is enough culture material to get each bag started and a plastic humidity tent for fruiting. A filter patch is attached to each Bag to allow for gas exchange during colonization and fruiting. The Bags measure 4'' wide, 3'' deep, and 18'' tall and contains approximately one pound of sterilized substrate. To use, simply unfold the Bag, allowing the extra material to stand straight up. Locate the small foam disk sealed and attached in a plastic housing near the base of the Bag. This disc is the self-healing injector site. Note: The disc will be covered by a small plastic shield. Do not attempt to remove the plastic covering the disc, you will inject through it. Sterilize a small section of the outside of the Bag (on the plastic shield) directly over the foamdisc with an alcohol soaked wipe. With the same alcohol soaked wipe, sterilize the needle on your culture syringe. Inoculate the substrate with culture syringe solution by inserting the needle completely through the self-healing plastic shield and foam disc at the previously sterilized spot. Squirt 1-3cc of solution directly into the substrate material. DO NOT insert the needle through the white filter patch found near the top of the Bag. Place the kit's Bag(s) in a dark location and incubate at species specific parameters (listed in species description pages). It is recommend to store the Bag fully extended as developing Mycelia will give off gases that will slowly expand the interior of the Bag. This ballooning effect is helpful |
