IRON STAR Iron Plus Trace Minerals Plant Nutrient Supplement Efficiently corrects Iron and other trace mineral deficiencies in soil container and soilless hydrogardens. Beneficial to fruits, flowers, vegetables, roses, and orchids. Iron star is an important element in plant growth. Iron is essential to the process of chlorophyll production, protein syntheses and plant respiration. Iron contained in the plant is immobile, so deficiencies will show up in new growth. Iron deficiencies in hydroponics are a common problem. Iron falls out in reservoirs due to the high oxygen nutrient solutions and the use of magnetic pumps without grounding probes. Plants will show signs of iron deficiencies with veins showing up in light green leaves, and a loss of deep vibrant colors in the leaves. Iron can fall out of thesolution to a deficient level in 4-5 days time. A periodic dosage of Iron Star, Liquid Iron Chelate, should be supplemented to the nutrient solution. Eight drops or .75 milliliters per gallon will bring the iron content to five parts per million. Ideal range for iron is between 5-10 parts per million.
