How We Started. In 1998, Jalem Getz decided that selling costumes over the Internet would be the best way to serve our national (now international) base of customers. “The web allows us to have a 100,000 square foot super store in every computer across the world”. Then, he decided to improve on this concept and offer a HUGE selection of products with a commitment to outstanding customer service and some of the best prices anywhere. Needless to say, he got his ideas into motion and created the site that you are on now. Hopefully you’re enjoying the products that we have made available to you and that you’re finding more than you expected to.

We will ship your order to the Shipping Address that you provide via United Parcel Service (UPS). Please do not list a Post Office Box (PO Box) as UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box and shipment of your order will be delayed.

We currently ship to the United States, US Territories, US Military bases (US & Abroad), and Canada. We are in the process of setting up international shipping and hope to offer it next year. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us!

Full payment is due at the time you place your order. If you have any problems with charges on your card from BuyCostumes online store please contact customer care. Please note: we do not normally take orders for out of stock items. (Unless noted on specific items, for example: Mascot Costumes and some Large Props.)

Please note: costume styles are subject to change without notice, due to the manufacturer’s production. These changes, no matter how slight, are beyond our control. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Manufacturers do not always notify us of these variations. We will reflect any changes to the costumes in the website descriptions and images as soon as we become aware of them. Thank you for your understanding with this issue.

For Halloween Costumes we suggest that you place your order early (before the 1st of October) to ensure that you will receive it and can still return it (if needed) prior to the 14th of October final return date. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so place your order early. In case you need another size or costume, we can issue you a RAN (Return Authorization Number) and you can then place a new order. Please remember, we can only do this if we receive your return in house, by the close of business, on the final return date (October 14th). Refunds and/or exchanges are for the cost of the merchandise only and do not include shipping and handling.

For returns, any return received with missing items will be credited minus the missing item(s). Any returns that do not include all original packaging will be given half credit because they cannot be re-sold as new. Any orders returned with out any means of tracking or delivery confirmation will be considered an unauthorized return and we are not responsible for refunding the order if we cannot verify receipt of the return. If we receive your authorized return and it is determined that it is missing some of the accessories, part of the costume, or the original packaging, you will only get a partial credit. Please double-check that you have included all of the costume and packaging prior to mailing your return to our warehouse.

The reason we request your e-mail address is so we will be able to send you information regarding your order, (order confirmation, order processing, and tracking number). We may e-mail you coupons or discount offers in the future. If you do not wish to receive any promotional offers from us, simply go to our unsubscribe page and enter in your email address to unsubscribe. Please do NOT respond to the original email.
